About SSC

The Staff Selection Commission works under the departments of personnel and training, govt of India. SSC is also known as subordinate services commission and it was incorporated on 1st July 1976 basically to make enrollment on zonal premise for non - specialized Group 'C' posts under the Central Government, aside from the post for which enlistment was made by Railway Service Commission and the mechanical foundations.

Educational Qualification

The candidates who are seeking to apply for SSC Constable GD Recruitment they must have possessed Matriculation or its equivalent from any well recognized Board.

Age Limit

Aspirants who have passed the 18th years old of their life and they are fully eligible for SSC GD Constable. Maximum Age limit should not exceed more than 23 years old.

Application Fee

Application Fees as per norms, of Rs. 50/- for general & OBC candidates through any SBI Challan / Net Banking / Credit and Debit Cards. All other reserved and women candidates are free from fees.

Selection Process

To get selected candidates need to clear physical Standard Test, Physical Efficiency Test, Written Examination and then finally Medical Examination.

SSC Constable Written Exam

The written examination will be of objective type of four parts, each part consists of 25 questions. Candidates need to complete all the 100 questions in 2 hours. Each question will carry equal marks and there is negative marking for every wrong answer.

SSC Constable Cut Off Marks (Expected)

The minimum cutoff marks to get selected will normally be as under the following as per category wise.

Syllabus

  1. General Intelligence & Reasoning
  2. Analytical aptitude and ability to observe and distinguish patterns will be tested through questions principally of non-verbal type. This component may include Questions on analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, etc.

  3. General Knowledge and General Awareness
  4. Questions in this component will be aimed at testing the candidates general awareness of the environment around him. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of every day observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity, Indian Constitution, scientific Research etc. These questions will be such that they do not require a special study of any discipline.

  5. Elementary Mathematics
  6. This paper will include Questions on problems relating to Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions and relationship between Numbers, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work, etc.

  7. English / Hindi
  8. Candidates ability to understand basic English / Hindi, his basic comprehension would be tested.
