The name of Mewar king Maharana Pratap is synonymous with patriotism, courage, struggle,
determination and immortal sacrifice for the motherland in Indian history. His
parents were Raja Uday Singh and Rani Jayanvatbai.
King Uday Singh named his son 'Rana Pratap' who was born on 9th May 1549 in
Kumbhalgad fort. Maharana Pratap was a heroic child. The great warrior Maharana
Pratap is considered to be the first freedom fighter in the country. Maharana Pratap,
famous for his bravery and martial arts, was a mighty Hindu Rajput of the Sisodia clan.
It is said that Maharana Pratap's bravery was widely discussed in Agra. That is why he was
always coming in Akbar's dreams. During his tenure, he made the people aware of many great ideas.
The famous battle at Haldighat
In 1576, a battle was fought between Maharana Pratap
and Akbar at Haldighat, which is still ideal for the
whole world. Maharana Pratap fought for many years in
front of a huge army of 85,000 soldiers of the very powerful
Mughal emperor Akbar on the basis of only 20,000 soldiers and
small arms. Even after 30 years of continuous efforts, Akbar could
not prison Maharana Pratap. Not only that, but the news of Maharana
